Weight Loss By My weight loss Share Tweet Pin Share There are many reasons why people so often to comply with a diet. You need to know your problem area and the foods that cause you to fail. It often resides in a lack of exercise along with a balanced, healthy diet. Everybody have their own bodies which react differently to some foods (meaning sugar might not have an effect on my weight, but carbs may lead to weight gain). In order to know why you are fat you would have to go to the source causing it and work from there. You aren’t fat. You have fat “fat” does not define you. 1- Lack of exercise The energy you put into your body (food) needs to be put to work otherwise it turns into fat. You have to exercise to burn the calories that provides energy or it will be stored as fat! 2- Over-eating The number one thing we do is starve ourselves, which means by the time we eat we over-eat and your body doesn’t need all that food at once. It is going to get stored up somewhere in your body and leads toward weight gain. Keep in mind that if you overeat you do not exercise because you are tired. 3- A lack of sleep It is a known fact that people who sleep less eat more, probably because there is an imbalance of some sort that needs to be replaced. 4- Anti-Depressants Some anti-depressants do cause weight gain, so to play it safe consult your GP about it. This is a good place to start in order to know why you are fat or gaining weight, especially when you are stressed out and on medication. 5- Poverty This is harsh, but very much true. Poverty is a result of not getting the nutrients you need, but instead have to eat what is available and affordable. 6- Hormones Obesity normally includes a low thyroid level and a high cortisone level. Although it is a minor issue, it is still an issue. 7- Genes Want to know why you are fat? Believe it or not, genes also play a part in being overweight and the chances are that if your parents are both overweight you will be too. It is similar to a disease (almost like catching obesity). 8- Replacing a habit The saying “old habits die hard”, well in this case it is the same if you are a smoker and try to stop. The chances are that you will most likely replace the habit with food. It is a natural but normal way of getting the problem under control, not necessarily the healthiest way. 9- Age Age is a huge factor and could answer the question of you want to know why you are fat. The older we get the slower our metabolisms get and we start to lose muscle. Muscle loss means slowing down the burn of calories which leads, once again, to weight gaining. 10- Pregnancy This is a joyful time in a woman’s life, but she needs to consider what to eat and how often otherwise she will struggle to lose the weight afterwards (especially after a few pregnancies). You must know why you are fat and the best way of knowing is to investigate all the above mentioned and start from there. It might just be the solution to your problem.
